This test - the ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) Assay - was developed by Dr. Guohua of the National Institute of Aging in 1992 to measure the level of antioxidant protection of a product as well as the duration of the protection. ORAC measures the degree, which a product, in this case fruits and vegetables capsules, inhibit the action of oxidative agents and the length of time this inhibitor occurs.
